Made in Sheffield. Made by Hand.

Our highly skilled craftsmen and women are based at Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield, where our traditional pocket knives continue to be made by hand, keeping the legacy of Sheffield’s famous “Little Mesters” alive today.

Visitors to the museum can see our skilled makers at work on Little Mester Lane, providing a unique glimpse into the traditional skills and craftsmanship that have made Sheffield famous for centuries.

We are immensely proud that every one of our knives is still manufactured, assembled and finished by hand here in Sheffield. Each knife carries with it not only the skill of the maker, but also a piece of the city’s remarkable cutlery heritage.  Our Managing Director Charles Turner MBE DL served as the 384th Master Cutler (2023–2024) during the historic 400th-anniversary year of the Cutlers’ Company, acting as a leading voice for manufacturing in South Yorkshire.

As proud custodians of the Joseph Rodgers and George Wostenholm brands and trademarks, we are committed to preserving these historic names and keeping their Sheffield heritage alive for generations to come.

We hope you enjoy exploring the images throughout our website, showcasing Kelham Island Museum and our craftsmen and women at work creating our pocket knives, continuing a proud Sheffield tradition that began generations ago.
